Even though we are a small congregation we are actively involved in outreach to our community and to the world.
Chocolate Festival—On the first Sunday of December we host a wonderful celebration of things chocolate. All of the proceeds are given to provide food for the needy;the total expense is borne by the members of the congregation.
After-school Program—During the school year on Wednesday afternoon, when the schools have an early dismissal, we have twelve Fourth grade kids come to our parish hall for snack, a little exercise, homework help, and some crafts. It is run by a group of parishioners that includes a retired fourth grade teacher. The kids respond well and really benefit from the homework help. One teacher wrote, "Your program changed thelives of these kids."
Homeless Outreach taskforce—Members of our congregation join other Christians in the community to provide for the needs of our homeless. They purchase and distribute sleeping bags, tents, scarves, and gloves as well as provide a couple of meals a week.
Colusa Christian Assistance Fund—Our congregation is a major contributor to this fund which provides resources to provide food, housing, and transportation for those in need.
Outreach Sunday—We have designated the third Sunday of each month as Outreach Sunday. All cash offerings and designated checks are directed to meet a variety of needs in the community and the world.
Millenium Development Goals—We are committed to helping fight global poverty by supporting the United Nations' Millenium Development Goals. As a congregation we support the Liberian School Children's Project which provides resources for a school in Monrovia, Liberia so that all children can get some education
